- What is the European Accessibility Act?
- The EAA is EU legislation requiring many digital products and services to be accessible. Germany implements it via the BFSG, in force since 28 June 2025; other member states have their own transposing laws.
- Who has to comply?
- Chiefly B2C providers in e-commerce, banking, transport and other digital services. Microenterprises providing services may be exempt under certain conditions — exact applicability should be assessed case by case.
- What does an accessibility audit cost?
